Howdy!

This weekend was as uneventful as the Super Bowl, so let's just jump into my first movie of the week:

#35 In Bruges

Available on Netflix

I decided to dive into my list on Netflix. My list is usually where those "movies that I know I should watch, but never do" live. Ultimately, I'm glad I picked this one because it was really funny and dark.

#36 Down

Available on Hulu

My Tuesday evening was already annoying. I decided to Lyft home and the Lyft driver was one of those guys that talked to you regardless of the headphones you're clearly wearing. He was also just an insane driver.

Anyways -- When I got on Hulu, I noticed they added another movie in their "Into the Dark" anthology (their first was New Year, New You, which I wrote about in my first recap). I could see the ending to this one from a mile away. My hope for this anthology is not very high at the moment. Maybe March will be better.

Speaking of March -- these movies are all based on holidays during the month they release it. Now that I've realized the next one is definitely going to be about St. Patrick's Day -- I'm kind of excited.

#37 The Family I Had

Available on Amazon Prime

I've learned that wearing skirts throws my days off -- let me explain. Today, I couldn't remember if I locked my door or even put detergent in my laundry and the only thing that was different about my day was that I didn't wear pants.

Anyways, this movie was basically about a woman who is put in an impossible situation -- which put forgetting to put a tide pod in the washer into perspective real quick.

#38 Crisis Hotline: Veterans Press 1

Available on HBOGo

There are so many causes that are worthy of your time, but I feel like everybody has certain ones that are close to their heart. Mine is military and their families. They are a subset of people that are disgustingly under served, especially when they are no longer in active duty. This doc proves we can all do better to help.

#39 High Flying Bird

Available on Netflix

I didn't know until after I watched this movie that it was all shot on iPhones. Um -- what?

#40 Won't You Be My Neighbor?

Available on HBOGo

I've never seen an episode of Mister Rogers, but I was very emotional throughout the viewing of this movie.

#41 A Dangerous Son

Available on HBOGo

Another important issue that we should all talk about more are mental health issues. This documentary, along with other important docs about important topics are available on HBO -- you should check them out.

So, I wanted to take time to apologize for how scattered and last-minute this blog post seems. You know those weeks where you just feel down and can't understand why? Yea, that's what this week felt like. I promise that I feel a whole lot better now, I just think it's important to be honest. Also, I just watched a trailer to Aladdin and it made me even sadder. It straight up looks like a Disney Channel movie. And don't even get me started on Will Smith as the genie.

Anyways, before I start to ramble, I want to thank you for sticking with me and reading. See ya next Sunday!
