Howdy! You may be thinking 'Livia, dummy -- it's Tuesday'. Well, if you know me, you know that I'm very prone to bad luck all culminating in one spectacular day. Yesterday was that day.

For one, I woke up sick. Then, I had to spend a riveting 45 minutes at the tax county office where the seat to people ratio is 1:10. Then, I decided to make myself feel better by bringing myself to the movies. The movie was fine, but when I walked out, I found one of my car's tires completely flat.

Everything's fixed now, but before my car decides to have another tantrum that results in me calling roadside assistance for the third time this year, let's get to the rest of the post.

#175 The Long Goodbye: The Kara Tippetts Story

Available on Netflix

A documentary telling the inspiring story of a writer, mother, and wife in the last moments of her life.

I have a bad habit of indulging in my sad moods. I read the description of this movie and thought it had the perfect vibe match. Then, I was surprised at how much positivity this story radiated, even in the worst circumstance.

#176 Teen Spirit

Available at Redbox

A teenage girl enters a singing competition show.

It's always awkward when a movie about a competition has a main character who is the not the best performer of said competition. It would be interesting if the whole movie was centered on that, but I think she just wasn't that good.

#177 Adam Devine: Best Time Of Our Lives

Available on Netflix

Adam Devine's first stand up special.

He reminded me so much of Kevin Hart's comedy. If you're wondering -- that's not a compliment.

#178 Midsommar

In theaters

A couple's relationship is put to the ultimate test during a trip to Sweden's traditional Midsommar festival.

This movie is by far my most anticipated movie of the year, so it might be a surprise when I say that I'm not exactly sure how I felt about it.

There are two things that I can tell you for sure:

1. Ari Aster is definitely one of my favorite directors ever. Even with just a couple of shorts and two features, he never fails to make me feel, which is not something I can say about many filmmakers. His movies don't just tell a story, they get to the core of humanity in a way that slices right through you.

2. When you watch this movie (I'm guessing not a lot of you have), my biggest advice to understanding what the fuck is going on is to simply watch the walls.

#179 Spider-Man: Far From Home

In theaters

Silly Spider-Man, superheroes don't go on vacation.

This movie was fine. It just felt like a build up to a more interesting movie.

#180 Swiped

Available on Netflix

College kids come up with the perfect dating app that fits their 'needs'.

So I saw Noah Centineo in the image for this movie, so I knew it wasn't going to be good. I just didn't realize it would be that bad. If you want a good laugh, you should watch.

#181 The Revival

Available on Hulu

A preacher takes a liking to a drifter.

I'm honestly not sure how this movie ended. It felt like they just threw a whole lotta plot and hoped something stuck. Spoiler alert: nothing stuck.

Thanks for reading. See ya next week!
