Howdy. Notice the lack of an exclamation point? That's what happens when Bohemian Rhapsody wins Oscars.

#54 End Game

Available on Netflix

Not everything that happens at the Oscars is bad. I would've never seen this documentary if it wasn't nominated for an Oscar. However, I did watch it while I was at the gym and may have shed a tear or two.

#55 Period. End of Sentence

Available on Netflix

I also realized the documentary that won was on Netflix too! I really loved it, but what I loved more was that a high school funded it through things like bake sales.

#56 Breaking In

Available on HBOGo

So, I had a couple of problems with this one. First, it's very predictable. I knew exactly how this movie was going to play out from the trailer, honestly. Second, I didn't care for the fact that they kept reminding us the only way the main character was capable of being a badass was because she was a mother. Sure, mothers are badasses, but I felt like this point was driven to no avail.

Lastly is something I will never understand in movies -- when you have the chance to kill somebody who is attacking you, why would you just hit them once and run away? Several times, she had the chance to take these guys out, but she just knocked them down and scurried off. If that was me, I'd double tap like nobody's business. Sorry, that got dark.

#57 Extremis

Available on Netflix

I love documentaries, but for some reason, I especially love sad ones.

#58 Thunder Road

Available on Amazon Prime

If you don't care to watch any of the movies I watch, that's totally fine, but this one, you need to see. At the very least, just watch the first scene -- it's unlike anything I've ever seen.

#59 The Treehouse

Available on Hulu

Hulu ... wyd? This movie is a part of the legendary, iconic "Into the Dark" series on Hulu. This month's installment is not the worst, but holy shit is it bad. These are basically the horror film equivalent of Lifetime movies.

You should absolutely watch them.

Thanks for joining me for another week! I'm really excited for the next few weeks, especially since SXSW is starting this Friday. My plan is to get into at least one festival screening, but I don't have any credentials, so this should be interesting. I'll obviously update y'all. See ya next Sunday!
