Howdy! Welcome to another week of me trying and failing to catch up. Hopefully this week is a lot less busy than last. I'm so far behind, I don't even want to know what number I should be at by now.

#75 Free Solo

Available on Hulu

This documentary definitely deserved its Oscar, but what really entertained me was how emotionless the subject was. He said he had to teach himself how to hug when he was an adult and there's nothing I relate to more.

#76 Diary of a Chambermaid

Available on Netflix

I didn't really like this one, but I love Léa Seydoux in anything she does.

#77 A Futile and Stupid Gesture

Available on Netflix

I liked how different the style in this one was, but I'm not sure it worked for me. It did have a really good plot twist if you know nothing about Doug Kenney. Also, I'm really looking forward to when Will Forte decides to make a Steve Carrell pivot into drama.

#78 Isn't It Romantic

I don't really like comparing movies, but it was hard not to compare this one to Then They Came Together, which I liked so much better.

I think the big difference for me was not the intent, but the execution. Isn't It Romantic was making fun of rom coms directly while Then They Came Together did it more indirectly. I could explain that all here but I think it would be too much and I kind of what to make a separate post comparing the two. Stay tuned.

I wouldn't say Isn't It Romantic is a bad movie, I think I just didn't care for how they did it. Plus, it just wasn't that funny -- I think I laughed maybe twice, both times at Liam Hemsworth, who was surprisingly hilarious.

#79 Game Over, Man

Available on Netflix

It had some funny moments and the main actors obviously had great chemistry, but overall, disappointing.

#80 Nate Bargatze: The Tennessee Kid

Available on Netflix

I have a hard time finding stand ups that I like, but I think my favorite might be from dead pan comics. There's something about monotone deliveries that crack me up.

#81 Wet Hot American Summer

Available on Netflix

Truly a very dumb movie and I loved every second of it.

So there's something that I've always wanted to talk about but haven't even been able to find the words -- my anxiety. Full disclosure, I haven't been officially diagnosed. I went to a behavioral therapist and she kind of freaked me out, so I haven't been since.

There are some days that I feel so overwhelmed, I can barely leave my apartment. If you haven't noticed by now, I have the tendency to sound rushed or fragmented in some of my posts and it's something that's been bothering me. The worst part is that I don't just feel it in my writing, it's a general feeling I have in my every day life.

What I'm trying to say, is that even when it doesn't seem like it, I'm trying really hard to do this whole blog right by giving myself enough time to edit posts and make graphics for my Instagram so I can post something other than pictures of my cat. I promise it's not laziness... well it's not just laziness.

Anyways, I just wanted to let y'all know that this isn't some dumb side project to me. It was made for the same reason I got a cat -- I need something of my own to remind me why I'm here and why that matters.
